Before & After School Care

Before & After School Care

Riverside has before and after school care for students K-12th grade. For a small nominal fee your child can come as early as 7:45 and have a hot breakfast! After school, FROM 3-5:30 pm, we provide a structured program for students to work on homework, and still have some time to run around outside. A snack is provided.

Field Trips

Field Trips

Each grade may take field trips to enhance the learning experience. Giving the students a chance to see what they are learning in real life. Trips to the Zoo, Local Farms and Businesses, Parks too!

Throughout the day....

Throughout the day, students have classes for Bible, math, history, and science. Additionally, a language arts block consisting of reading, writing, spelling, and language/grammar.

Students also enjoy music, library, art, and physical education. Each grade is scheduled a minimum of one recess which is held outdoors when possible.

Chapel is an all-school activity that takes place every Wednesday morning (8:40-9:20), and parents are welcome to attend. Each teacher extends learning from the classroom to the community with a variety of field trips. 

Technology is also used to enhance the curriculum, with each student having a tablet for use in the classroom.

Cindy Waind

Principal

Cindy Waind has served has the principal of Riverside Christian School for the past 5 years.  She leads our team with 15 years of prior teaching experience as a 1st grade teacher.  Her love of Jesus shines through as an effective and admired leader by the faculty and staff of the school.  

Her daily morning routine is to walk the halls of Riverside to pray for each and every student and teacher.  

The school is blessed to have a caring, compassionate, and faithful principal like Cindy Waind.
