Athletics & Activities

  • We are very excited to announce that in the fall of 2022 we were accepted into the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) as an Associate Member. This allows all of our high school students to now be eligible for MSHSL sponsored extra-curricular activities. It also gives us the ability to form our own high school teams or co-op with other high schools for activities.

While the process of adding activities will take time, this is exciting for not only our current high school students, but for all students of RCS who want to take part in activities in the future. We look forward to growing all that we have to offer in athletics, music, drama, robotics and other activities that our students are interested in.

To the right are the activities we currently offer or are looking to offer for the 2023-24 school year (we are a part of Section 8A in Minnesota). We continue to expand our list of activities available.

Music: While not a separate club or extra-curricular, RCS offers music in a variety of ways.

  • Intramurals:  We will be offering intramural activities once again this school year for our elementary students.

Here is our schedule for the year:

  • Girls’ Basketball (Grades 2-6): Oct-Dec; partner with YMCA
  • Boys’ Basketball (Grades 2-6): Jan-March; partner with YMCA
  • Youth Soccer (Grades PreK – 6): Fall & Spring; partner w/East Grand Forks Soccer Club

The partnerships with the YMCA and East Grand Forks Soccer Club allow us to form teams, play games and be a part of the greater Grand Forks community.

With all of these activities at the elementary level, our goal is simple. We want your kids to have fun, learn the game and build even stronger relationships with each other. We truly believe that getting kids involved early with these activities will help build up friendships and pride in RCS that will lead to your children wanting to be here for middle school and high school. So please sign your kids up!

All registration forms for intramurals can be picked up in the RCS Office.

If you have any activities related questions, please contact RCS Activities Director Eric Morrow at ericm@rcsrams.org or 218-773-1770 Ext. 6000.
